On their final hunt for Mesmero, the X-Men find themselves in Santo Marco where they believe he is hiding. During his ambush however, Mesmero gets into contact with Rachel Summers, and once again, further probes into her psyche and causing her to have more "flash-fowards" to her mutant hound days. The X-Men succeed in capturing and incarcerating Mesmero into a mutant correction facility.

Lydia Nance is seen in the Savage Land with her sentient A.I. in a new and very expensive facility.

Back at the Xavier Institute, Kitty is questioning Iceman about Pyro's admission to the school and allows it, but on a provisional basis.

Kitty visits her mother in Illinois and tells her that the wedding is officially happening and asks her to walk her down the aisle.

Nightcrawler organizes a bachelor party for Colossus in Las Vegas, against Colossus' will. Once there, while the rest of the X-Men are enjoying themselves, Colossus is not, and goes to take a breather. However, he finds himself ambushed by Lydia Nance's sentient A.I. who attacks him and kidnaps him.
